On January 28th Carol and I will close Pioneer Music and retire from the retail side of the business. Nearly 40 years of tending shop has brought us a wealth of relationships and experiences that we’ll be sad to leave, but the time is right for us, and we’re both excited to join the ranks of the retired.

As for KC and Carol, Washington insiders report that National Park Service official Jonathan Jarvis will appoint them co-directors of California's Joshua Tree National Park in the Spring of 2012.
